BL will be celebrating Christmas with their annual “Home for the Holidays” with students this week of December.
Festivities will kick off on Monday with “North Pole Monday” on Dec. 7. Students and faculty partook in this day with dressing up in winter accessories over normal clothes and uniforms. Some of the most popular accessories include elf ears, reindeer noses and ears, Santa hats and beards, and Christmas socks, ties and hair accessories.
“This is one of my favorite days because I love wearing my Santa hat to school,” said sophomore Erica K., “and seeing everyone else with different Christmas accessories.”
To continue the celebration, on Dec. 8, BL will have “No Chill Tuesday”. Hot chocolate will be served at the table in front of the atrium before school, available for both students and faculty to enjoy some warm, tasty refreshments. Later in the day, there will be Christmas Karaoke in the cafeteria. Karaoke will take place during all lunches, and all are welcome to participate. Also, during the 2A period, Candy Grams, purchased last week, will be delivered.
Mass for the Immaculate Conception was also celebrated by all students and faculty on Tuesday. The BL community came together in prayer for this special Holy Day of Obligation.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be “Holiday Sweater Friday.” Christmas sweaters- both “ugly” and “nice”- may be worn over uniform and regular clothing. This will replace Christmas Pajama day, which was originally planned for Thursday, but will no longer take place.
Nevertheless, Christmas celebrations will continue throughout the entire week at BL.
